The John Heuerman Tennis Academy was established in 1991 with a view to making tennis accessible to all the community. Our coaches pride themselves on creating a fun and enjoyable approach to tennis for all ages and abilities. All of our coaches are LTA Accredited and internationally qualified, they hold a current enhanced DBS check and are able to deliver group and 1:1 sessions. Internationally Qualified Coach
John founded the Tennis Academy in 1991 and qualified as both an USA and UK tennis coach. Emphasis was to offer the highest level of tennis coaching within local parks and schools making tennis accessible to all. John now spends most of his time in the Pro Shop at Otford managing all aspects of the academy which has grown significantly over the years.
Steve Seffens
Director of Racquet Sports
Steve, our main point of contact for all things Racquets. Using his multiple PTR Pro Coach Qualifications, Steve runs the fantastic Pickleball programme at Hollybush Tennis Centre. Meanwhile managing the progression of Tennis from Schools and Grass Roots (T3), continuing up to our competition (T1) classes.

Yvie joined us in 2022 to assist with the coaching programmes and tennis development. Yvie is also a fully qualified PT Instructor.

Georgie Heuerman
The Tennis Academy becomes a family business with the addition of Georgie. After assisting on court with us from the age of 12. Georgie began her qualifications at 16 with her LTA Level 1 and has completed the triple threat international PTR qualification. You may also recognise her from our Pro Shop.
